Ölen Adına Kurban Kesilir Mi

Can a sacrifice be made on behalf of the deceased?

In Islam, sacrificing an animal on behalf of a deceased person is not an obligatory act of worship. Sacrifice is usually performed on behalf of living individuals and is performed on Eid al-Adha, one of the Islamic holidays. Sacrifice is based on dedicating a live animal to God and sharing its meat with those in need. Therefore, there is no obligation to sacrifice on behalf of a deceased person.

However, in some Muslim communities, there may be people who want to sacrifice a sacrifice to keep the memory of a deceased relative alive or to do charity on his or her behalf. In this case, it may be a traditional practice to sacrifice in the name of the deceased, but this practice is not considered one of the fundamental prayers of Islam.

Nevertheless, in Islam, performing acts of worship such as prayers for the soul of the dead, giving alms, reading the Quran, and performing charitable deeds are considered important practices. Such prayers can be performed to remember and pray for our loved ones, in line with the teachings of Islam.
